Overview

The laboratory is located on the west side of the 5th floor of the main research building at the RIKEN Wako campus. Organic synthesis laboratories, office space, measurement rooms, and device fabrication and evaluation laboratories are located in consideration of flow lines.

Lab 501

The main equipment of the laboratory, such as single crystal structure analysis, deposition equipment, glove box, semiconductor characterization equipment, photoelectric characterization, thermoelectric characterization, etc., are installed here, and many important experiments are performed.

Lab 502 Thin Film X-ray and Single Crystal Growth Laboratory

Thin film X-ray equipment, sublimation purification equipment, single crystal growth equipment, digital microscope, etc. are used to fabricate and evaluate crystal materials.

Lab 503 Process Laboratory

Lab 505 Organic Synthesis Laboratory

Draft chamber, central experimental table, etc. are used to synthesize new materials.

Lab 506, 508 Measurement Room

Various analyses such as absorption and fluorescence spectra, DSC, TGA, high temperature GPC, AFM, IR, AC-2, etc. are performed.
