Welcome to Emergent Molecular Function Research Team

Emergent Molecular Function Research Team focuses on the development and application of new functional organic molecules. Organic molecules can be designed and synthesized as they should have appropriate molecular and electronic structures for certain functionalities, and such functional molecules are utilized in fabricating optoelectronic devices such as organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), organic solar cells (organic photovoltaics, OPVs), and thermoelectric (TE) devices. We are currently focusing on developing new building blocks for organic semiconductors both with electron-rich or electron-deficient natures and their applications to semiconducting molecules and polymers, which further utilized into p-/n- channel or ambipolar OFETs, OPVs and TE devices.
